Event Player mkII

In the software Show Control Editor 2x the playing time of my MP3 file does not match with the playing time shown on the screen.

The software Show Control Editor 2x is not compatible with MP3 files that are coded in VBR (variable bit rate). To create your shows please use MP3 files encoded in CBR (constant bit rate) or WAV files.

I’m using a USB stick with a number of very large audio files. How can I improve the start up time of my player ?

During start up, the player carries out an automatic listing of all the files present on your media support. If the number of files present in each folder is large, this operation can take considerable time. Owing to the technology integrated in Event Player, using an SD or SDHC card is preferable. Start up time will be faster with a high-performance SD/SDHC card.

Which software can I use to access my player in FTP mode ?

Numerous FTP software exist and certain operation systems allow you to directly access an FTP without having to add additional functions. If you don’t possess the standard software, you can use FileZilla software (https://filezilla-project.org). This software, under GPL licence is free to use whatever your operating system (Windows, Mac OS X or Linux).

My Event Player player is not recognised on my DHCP network.

The Event Player player does not run the dynamic DHCP protocol. The Event Player only functions on a fixed IP network. If you cannot adapt your network to this, use a router which will serve as a link between your DHCP network and your player’s fixed IP.

My player is working as well as a normal player with its auxiliary audio input, except that its sound level does not always conform to my volume setting.

The auxiliary audio output and input in the player possess two different volume settings. You must therefore adjust each volume individually. To adjust the volume of the principal audio output, you should switch your player into “Main” mode using the player’s “Source” menu. To adjust the auxiliary audio input, you should switch the player into “Aux” mode using the player’s “Source” menu. The volumes’ setting will be carried out in both cases in the same way, with the player’s rotary encoder.

I have put a number of large files in the same folder but not all of them seem to have been read. Why ?

The number of files accepted by Event Player in the same folder is limited to 999.

I don't know how my file is encoded. Which software can i use to know precisely which are the caracteristics of my file? (format, type, encoding, bitrate...)

If you have not any software for this, you can use MediaInfo software (http://mediaarea.net/fr/MediaInfo). This software, provided under BSD license, is free and opensource on all operating system (Windows, Mac OS X or Linux).

I have properly named "000" the autoplay folder, but the player reads the folder just one time, what is the problem?

By default, the folders are not played in loop. The condition to play a folder in loop depend to the add of a specific parameter in the name of the folder. This parameter is a jump function, done when the folder is fully played. To play your folder in loop, please, rename the autoplay folder from "000" to "000 [J000]". For more informations on the folders parameters, please, refer to your owner's manual.
